The first camellias were brought from Cornwall in 1939 and today's collection numbers 140 trees, both old and new cultivars.

Interesting collection of camellias. Many stately groups are over 7 metres
(22 ft) high.
3 - JERSEY WILDLIFE PARK, TRINITY:
A Camellia Walk was established in 1970 and, more recently, camellias
have been donated by International Camellia Society members
from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Japan, France, Italy,
U.S.A., UK, and the Channel Islands.
4 - WESTWARD; ST. BRELADE:
There are more than 120 camellia varieties, japonicas, hybrids, reticulatas and sasanquas.
Comment:
Camellias grow well outdoors in Jersey and may be seen in many gardens.
